Some of our best African safaris have been adventure safaris. My wife is a local & we've lived in South Africa since 1993 and have been on more than 80 African safaris.

The learning opportunities and adventures are wonderful. And there is lots of fun activities that also cover a wide range of interests.

Of course there is African wildlife and African tribal culture but there is a lot more…

From some of the world’s best surfing vacation spots in Jeffrey’s Bay (J-Bay of the movie Endless Summer fame) to the world renowned great white sharks jumping out of the water as they hunt seals to African diving safaris in virtually unexplored tropical archipelagoes to African tenting safaris to African hiking safaris in famous national parks.

For us these trips have been such amazing family times that for the last several years virtually all of our vacations involve some type of adventure travel in Africa. Indeed we started off our marriage this way with a honeymoon safari in Africa at Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park.

These three African adventure safaris are all exceptional.

But after having gone on over 80 African safaris since 1993, we recently had an African adventure safari I just have to tell you about. What has catapulted to the top of our adventure safari list is a canoeing kayaking safari on the Zambezi. I still rewind the footage of that great trip in my mind.

Remember we’ve done quite a few adventure safaris – several to really great adventure destinations –Namibia with its sand dune mountains, quad biking, sea kayaking and wildlife safaris; Victoria Falls with its bungee jumping and white water & other river rafting adventures, and Botswana with its relaxing traditional mokoro poling (traditional canoes that are poled by your guides like gondolas) through the unparalleled Okavango Delta.

Plus we have done some adventure cycling. My daughter and I have done some rather extreme mountain biking things like taking mountain biking vacations through wild areas with zebra, giraffe and other buck.

How We Work: The first itinerary is free & it will be based on your interests & budget. After that we offer a service where by we continue to work with you to get you the best trip for the price you want to pay. To do that we require a $150 USD deposit that is applied to your trip (without regard to the number in your traveling party). If you don’t take your trip it is non refundable.
