Superb deals & free expert advice on best time to go to on safari - Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa & throughout Africa.

We’ve taken more than 80 African safaris since 1993.

We live in South Africa & my wife is a local. These African tours and safaris have been during all times of year – low season, shoulder season, high season as well as peak season.

And we have taken African island vacations, as extensions to our African lion safari vacations as well as vacation destinations in their own right.

We've gone to places like Mauritius,Zanzibar and Mozambique’s exotic pristine Quirimbas Archipelago (our favorite African island holiday spot) – in off season as well.

Our goal here is to give you advice as to when is the best time for your African lion safari.

Most countries in Africa are a year round destination.
Thus you can have a wonderful African lion safari or vacation anytime of year. But there are “peak seasons” and “low seasons” for African lion safari & tours in specific countries or safari destinations.

Since we like deals and game parks & wilderness areas when they are least busy, off season has become our favorite time to travel. It is amazing to have these African lion safari & wildlife areas virtually to yourself! Thankfully, the weather & game viewing has been consistently outstanding during these crowd free times.

Below we give you a weather and game viewing guide for Zimbabwe’s top African lion safari game parks, Kenya's top African lion safari game parks & South Africa's top African lion safari game parks. These African lion safari game parks are some of the finest in Africa.
