Mombasa Serena Hotel – situated on Kenya’s golden Indian Ocean coast, this 5 star resort is splendid. Service is excellent and the private grounds are well maintained and exclusive. This stretch of beach is about one mile long, has white sand and is behind a coral reef. There are other top hotels here as well and the access is directly onto the beach. Serena has both sea facing and garden facing rooms, the neighboring Mombasa Continental has only seafacing rooms. We strongly preferred the Serena though because the food is great and the service is consistently good.
