Northwards from Table Mountain, the coast becomes arid and rugged, eventually turning into the desert of the Namib (which extends into the neighboring country of Namibia).

Its central area consists of a rugged mass of granite domes, a landscape which has changed little for 300 million years.

But even so, nature has its way from July to September, when this normally harsh, deserted stretch is splashed with the most incredible array of flower life. It is a miraculous sight that is a magnet for tourists and locals alike.

Resident San (formerly know as Bushmen) were the first to explore this area and gave it its name.
These early African tribal people observed the green stains in the rocks, which indicate malachite ore, and they smelted copper from the surface outcrops, manufacturing tools, weapons and ornaments.

After that we offer a service where by we continue to work with you to get you the best trip for the price you want to pay. To do that we require a $150 USD deposit that is applied to your trip (without regard to the number in your traveling party). If you don’t take your trip it is non refundable.
