Eastern Cape and the Wild Coast

The Eastern Cape has its own unique scenery and atmosphere. Here you will find magical places like Hogsback, where Tolkien came to write The Hobbit. Then there is East London, a gracious coastal town and Stutterheim, which is located at the foot of the Amatola Mountains. Forests abound in this area and provide a tranquil ambience.

Two other must-visits in the Eastern Cape is the Mandela Museum in his home village of Qunu and Shamwari Game Reserve, a private, malaria-free game reserve offering you the chance to see the big five in a conservation area that is malaria free and luxurious.

This part of the Eastern Cape's coast is called "wild" because it is an almost completely unspoiled, wildly beautiful coastline. It is rich in African tribal culture. The Xhosa people live traditional lives of fishing and herding. And though there are some exceptionally beautiful lodges that are located in this area, I can not say enough great things about our African adventure safari - this adventure was our African hiking safari. This is an accessible yet exotic vacation and enables you to sense another aspect of the "Real Africa".

How We Work: The first itinerary is free & it will be based on your interests & budget. After that we offer a service where by we continue to work with you to get you the best trip for the price you want to pay. To do that we require a $150 USD deposit that is applied to your trip (without regard to the number in your traveling party). If you don�t take your trip it is non refundable. You pay that via Paypal.
